Injector bushing/sleeve extractor – Tool for extracting injector bushings from the engine head.
The tool is suitable for cases where the valve cover is still on the engine as well when the cover has been removed.
Quick instructions:
- manually insert the conical screw of the tool into the bushing
- first screw it by hand, paying attention to the correct vertical position, then screw it with a wrench (gently, with a feeling)
- put a round support on the tool and underlay it with two wooden squares of suitable sizes, so that the upper part of the tool looks approx. 3 cm from the support
- screw the nut onto the top of the tool and start screwing it with a wrench so that the tool pulls out the bushing. Be careful that tool is not turning with the nut, as this would make it penetrate even deeper into the bushing, which could cause damage to the engine. This can be prevented by holding the upper part of the tool with another wrench.
