DPH extra protection (jam/counter) nuts prevent from loss of the propeller and reduce the possibility of theft.
DPH drive does not have a special guard screw for propeller nuts, but it solves this with nuts with a plastic insert and the rule is that these can be used only once. This is, of course, expensive, as it means that each replacement of an individual propeller costs you an additional cca €40 (that’s how much each original nut costs). As a result, more and more people are reaching for our extra (jam/counter) nuts.
We offer solutions for rear nut and for front nut, however, customers opt for front nut solution much less frequently.
REAR JAM/COUNTER NUT:
You can buy just a nut (40€) or also tool (40€). The tool, which you can also make yourself, is a high quality (UNIOR, made in EU) socket wrench (30/32) adapted with three rivets on one side (32), which prevents the wrench from being pushed in too deep. The other side of the tool (30) unscrews the original nut.
The solution also makes it more difficult to steal propellers, as a potential thief comes equipped with a wrench 30.
FRONT JAM/COUNTER NUT:
Front counter nut have to be bought with special tool (see photos), price is 100€.
